Mel Rose
Mel started singing at a very early age, when she joined the prestigious choir Cantamus, travelling the world and consistently winning competitions with them. Her love of music continued to grow, which led to her first degree in Music at Goldsmith’s College, University of London. Here she played piano and flute and trained as an opera singer.
Mel has performed in leading roles such as Christine in The Phantom of the Opera, Eliza in My Fair Lady and Eva Perón in Evita.
She has also directed several choirs and orchestras, as well as being a vocal coach.
She moved to Sitges in 2015 and is delighted to bring her expertise as the Director of Sitges Canta, continuing the wonderful legacy of Bill Carney and Ross Borsody, founders and directors.
